Welcome To Our Journey

At FIShR, we are driven by a profound commitment to empowering individuals with disabilities to lead fulfilling lives by building mutually beneficial relationships with our Partners and their employees. Our CEO and founder Mr Steve Robinson, has worked alongside both individuals and organisations to deliver high quality individualised supports at all levels and with over three decades of experience in the Western Australian Human Services sector, Steven Robinson stands as a beacon of inspiration and change. His journey is one of passion, advocacy, and relentless pursuit of excellence.

Steve's academic journey began with a Bachelor of Arts degree, majoring in Special Populations from Edith Cowan University and he later completed a Graduate Certificate in Not-for-Profit Leadership and Management laying the foundation for a career that has included frontline support work to managerial leadership, Steve has traversed diverse roles, leaving an indelible mark on organisations such as Interchange, Recreation Network, Disability Services Commission, Enable WA, and Cam Can Inc.

Having spent time working alongside leaders such as Heather Simmons, Jack Pearpoint, Lynda Kahn, John and Connie Lyle O'Brein, Tim Voight and many others Steve believes the key factor in driving high quality outcomes is getting the right relationship between participants and the people engaged to facilitate their support and promote community inclusion (Partners). Steve believes that working alongside people to bring about change and assist people to reach their full potential takes both skill and commitment and too often organisations entrusted to provide supports have lost their focus on creating real outcomes and typical lives because their key leadership has distanced themselves from where the real work happens, in peoples homes and community.

Steve's advocacy is deeply rooted in personal experience, having a sister who was an NDIS participant. A visionary leader, having played key roles in establishing initiatives such as Western Australian Individualised Services (WAIS) and contributing to numerous sector projects such as Community Living Plans, Shared Management and Individualised Living Options (ILO) to name a few. Driven by a passion for detail and pushing the boundaries of support Steve ensures our operations meet the highest standards of integrity and accountability.

Steve's leadership drives our commitment to excellence, compassion, and inclusivity. Where together, we are transforming lives and building a brighter future for both our participants and partners.
